Jiivi 2 is an upcoming Tamil thriller film directed and written by V.J. Gopinath. It is a sequel of 2019 blockbuster film Jiivi which was also directed by V.J. Gopinath in his directorial debut.
The first part of the film was released on June 28, 2019 and completed 3 years last month. The film received highly positive reviews from audiences as well as critics.
Several media portals appreciated the concept, performance, direction, story etc., of the film which has an IMDb rating of 7.8 out of 10. Neat writing and engaging screenplay makes Jiivi a good thriller.
Jiivi 2 Star Cast
Young actor Vetri who was the main lead in the film, is set to be back on his character Saravanan in the upcoming film. Along with him, the makers have retained all the actors including Rohini and Karunakaran as Lakshmi and Mani, respectively.
Ashwini Chandrashekar is also onboard again to play her role as Kavitha in the film. Part 1’s other actors like Rama, Mime Gopi, Bosskey, Anil Murali, Tiger Garden Thangadurai, Kothandam etc are also expected to be back to play their roles in Jiivi 2.
The film is Produced by Suresh Kamatchi’s V House Productions with Vetrikumaran and Nagantha Sethupathi onboard as co-producers.
On the technical front, Nation award winning film editor Praveen K.L. Praveen, who has edited more than 100 films in his career is editing the film while Praveen Kumar D. is serving as the director of photography (DOP).
If we talk about the film’s music, Sundaramurthy K.S. has been roped in to compose the music while lyrics are penned by Karthik Netha, Logan, A. Pa. RajaUmesh J. Kumar is handing the art department and A. Subramaniam is the co-director.

Now the film is coming with its sequel and there is a lot of buzz around it. The much-anticipated sequel is streaming on Aha Tamil from 19th of Aug, receiving positive reviews:

About the Film
The first part explored the life of Saravanan (Vetri), a brilliant man who after having a jinxed romantic affair, makes the plan of stealing from his landlady along with his friend.
But some strange coincidences that happened in his family and with the landlady shocked him. Jiivi 2 will start right from the point where the first part ends and the sequel will retain all the key elements.

Since its announcement, there has been a lot of buzz about the film’s teaser. The reputed, well esteemed filmmaker and the director of megastar Kamal Hassan’s recently released blockbuster Vikram- Lokesh Kanagaraj will unveiled teaser of Jiivi 2 on July 2, 2022 at 5 pm, now trailer is also available from 5th Aug.
On June 28, 2022, the film completed its 3 years. Lead actor Vetri thanked the fans for the great success of part one and promised more entrapment in Jiivi 2.
