The film is the third directorial venture of Mari Selvaraj, who made his directorial debut with 2019 Tamil drama film Pariyerum Perumal, produced by Pa. Ranjith and starring Kathir and Anandhi in the lead roles. The film opened to positive response and received many awards and accolades.

Selvaraj came into more lime light after the success of his second directorial venture- action drama film Karnan, starring mega star Dhanush in the lead role along side Lal, Yogi Babu, Natarjan Subrmaniam and Rajisha Vijayan.

After rising to fame by delivering only two films, Selvaraj is now all set for his another directorial venture and expectations with this movie are even more high.

Maamannan Star Cast

Mari Selvaraj has signed some amazing and stellar stars for the movie. It will feature South Indian Beauty Keerthy Suresh, Farhad Faasil, comedian-actor Vadivelu and Udhayanidhi Stalin.

The entire star cast has express their happiness to work with such great director and actors. If we talk about Keerthy Suresh, she will be the leading lady of the film.

Suresh’s latest film was Nagesh Kukunoor directorial Telugu sports comedy Good Luck Sakhi which was not that successful and opened to negative reviews from the audience as well as critics.

Her last Tamil film was action film Annaatthe in which is feature along side Super stars Rajanikanth and Prakash Raj. The film released in November last year and became a blockbuster by grossing 240 Cr. worldwide.

In this upcoming film, Keerthy Suresh will feature opposite multiple award winning actor Farhad Faasil, who was last seen in Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer record breaking movie Pushpa: The rise, where he played the key role of SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.

Maamannan Makers

Udhayanidhi Stalin, who will feature in the key role, is bankrolling this film under his own banner Red Giant Movies. Oscar winning composer and Music Maestro A.R. Rahman is composing music and background score in the movie.

On technical front, the cinematographic work is handled by Theni Eswar while the editing is done by Selva RK. Dhilip Subbarayan have joined the team as the action choreographer and Sandy master is the dance choreographer.
