Kollywood Film Industry’s ace director Prabhu Solomon is back with another flick Sembi: The Moments, after delivering blockbuster movies like Mynaa (2010), Kumki (2012) and Kayal (2014).
Touted-to-be a road drama film, Sembi revolves around a bus, its 24 passengers, and their eventful journey from Kodaikanal to Dindigul. It is simultaneously shot in Tamil as well as Telugu languages and most of the movies have been shot in a bus in locations like Madurai, Dindigul and Kodaikanal.
Sembi Star Cast
Popular TV actor of Tamil dramas Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan is playing the male lead in the film. The actor rose to prominence after contesting in 2021 Tamil reality cooking TV show Cuckoo With Comali 2.
Sembi marks the 9th film of Ashwin’s career with Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam, Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe, OK Kanmani being few of them. He was last seen in recently released romantic comedy Enna Solla Pogirai, which was his debut film as the lead actor.
The film also stars multiple award winning actress Kovai Sarala and she will be playing the role of a 90-year old grandmother. Veteran actor-director Thampi Ramaiah is playing bus conductor and a 10 -year old child artist Nila are playing pivotal roles in the film.

The road drama is produced by R. Ravichandran’s Trident Arts in association with Ajmal Khan and Reyaa’s AR Entertainment. The technical crew of the film includes M. Jeevan as the director of photography, Buvan as the editor and Nivas K. Prasanna as the music composer.
Vijay Thennarasu is handling the art department, Hakkim Sulaiman is serving as the production manager and Choreography in the film is done by Srikrish. The VFX credits goes to D-Note Studio.

After the release of the first look poster of the film, everyone waiting for the trailer of this film, so the makers of the film has oficially has released the trailer of the film. It is officially confirmed with the trailer of Sembi: The Moments that the movie will released on February 3, 2023 on Disney Plus Hotstar.
Sembi is one of the movies that will be releasing on OTT Platform this year.
On May 20, 2022, the makers also unveiled the first look poster of the film that attracted a lot of attention on the internet in which we can see Kavai Sarala playing a grandmother while in another picture Ashwin can be sitting on a bench with a little girl. It was released in both Tamil and Telugu languages.
Sembi Trailer
The trailer for Sembi was just released by the film’s makers, and it looks rather exciting. The relationship between 10-year-old Sembi and her grandma is depicted in the movie’s trailer. Before three ruthless criminals sexually abused Sembi, Sembi and her grandmother led peaceful lives.
The incident in the story occurs when a police officer smacks Sembi, causing her grandmother to drop the lawsuit. Therefore, the latter is left with no choice except to beat the cop to death.
