The cinephiles are now on cloud nine this year as the cinema hall has started welcoming the audience. Many much-hyped films of the Indian cinema whether it is from Bollywood, South or Punjabi film industries have hit the theaters already and many are getting their new release dates.
The upcoming month of June is going to be a festive season for movie-buffs, especially for the Punjabi film lovers as many films are scheduled to hit the big screen from the first week to last week of the month and Sher Bagga is one of those movies.
Touted-to-be an romantic comedy film, Sher Bagga is directed as well as written by Pollywood film industry’s young and talented director-cum-writer Jagdeep Sidhu, who received multiple nomination in the prestigious awards of the industry and also won Best Debut Director Award in PTC Punjabi Films Awards for superhit romantic drama film Qismat.
Sher Bagga Star Cast
The film stars Pollywood film industry’s most celebrated actor-cum-singer Ammy Virk in the lead role. Virk is currently basking in the success of his recently-released rom-com Saunkan Saunkne in the lead role. In the meantime, the actor also has another romantic comedy Oye Makhna in the pipeline that is all set to be released on September 5, 2022.
Lady superstar of Punjabi cinema Sonam Bajwa is playing the love interest of Virk. Her character is of a modern girl. Other than the leading stars, the film also features Deep Sehgal, Nirmal Rishi, Kaka Kautki, Baninder Bunny, Rup Khakar, Jasneet Kaur and Gurdiyal Singh in pivotal roles.

The film is bankrolled by its lead actor Ammy Virk in association with Dalit Thind while Raj Tiwana is serving as the executive producer of the film.
On the technical front, Navneet Misser is cranking the camera, Manish More is handling the editing work and the Sound designing is done by Pranam Pansare. The film’s music is composed by Avvy Dra, Jaymeet, Sunny Virk and Oye Kunaal while its background score is given by Sandeep Saxena. The lyrics are penned by big names like Happy Raikoti, Shera Dhaliwal, Kiran, Raj Fatehpuria and Farmaan.
Sher Bagga Release Date
The makers of the film have already released its official release date. It is now confirmed that the film will be released theatrically on June 10, 2022. However, it will not face a direct clash with any other Punjabi film, there are films like Widow Colony and Mahi Mera Nikka Jeha that will be released a week ahead of the release of Sher Bagga.
Sher Bagga Trailer Out
The trailer of the film was released on Monday, May 23, 2022. The nearly 3.5 minute long trailer shows Ammy Virk as an innocent guy who reaches foreign shore and meets Sonam Bajwa. Further it shows how their love story started and next thing we know is that she is pregnant.
An unusual tale begins when Sonam doesn’t want the child but Ammy wants to bring the child up. He keeps seeking advice on care during pregnancy from his mother. There are lots of laughter doses in the film. It also shows Ammy telling his mother that he is starting an egg business, that is why in the trailer we show the tagline referring to the film as an EGG-xtraordinary tale.
