The first brick for the Ayodhya Mosque Foundation arrived from Mecca, made of black soil. The brick will be transported to Ayodhya after Eid 2024.
The war of years is believed to come to an end after the inauguration of Ayodhya Ram Mandir. However, only the consecration ceremony of Ram Mandir cannot satisfy this long-standing issue of Ram Janmabhoomi.
In 2019, the apex court of India gave a verdict in favor of the Hindu community. The Hindu community was permitted the construction of Ayodhya Ram Mandir, and the government was ordered to provide the Muslim community with a piece of land elsewhere in the city for constructing a mosque.
The inauguration ceremony of Ram Mandir was held on January 22, but despite the verdict on the same day, the construction of the mosque hasn’t even started yet. Zufar Ahmad Faruqi, who is the president of the IICF, revealed that they are facing difficulties raising funds.
Those involved in the mosque’s construction stated that the need to redraw the plan to include more conventional features like minarets contributed to the project’s delay. In the facility, a 500-bed hospital has also been planned.
Ayodhya Mosque Construction Date
When the Ayodhya Ram Mandir is finally inaugurated, the mosque, which will be named “Masjid Muhammed bin Abdullah” after Prophet Mohammad, is facing a delay in construction. Also, as per a report by Reuters, the construction of “Masjid Muhammed bin Abdullah” will start in May this year. Also, the senior authorities involved stated that it would take almost 3–4 years to complete the construction of the mosque.

As to Reuters, the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) is preparing to introduce a crowdsourcing website that has resemblance to the one that was established during the Ayodhya Ram Mandir era.
The Ayodhuya Mosque will be constructed 25 kilometers away from the Ayodhya Ram Mandir in Dhannipur. As per Supreme Court orders, the mosque is supposed to be built on 5 acres.
