AFCAT 2024 Selection Process Overview
The candidates have to clear all three stages to clear the AFCAT 2024 exam. The first stage is the AFCAT written test, which consists of 300 marks. The second stage of the AFCAT selection process is the AFSC interview, which is further divided into three phases. The AFSB interview consists of 300 marks. The final stage is a medical test. Only those candidates who are physically and medically fit will be able to clear the AFCAT exam.

AFCAT 2024 Selection Process: Written Test
The AFCAT written exam is conducted online via CBT. As per the AFCAT Exam Pattern 2024, the exam is made up of 100 multiple-choice questions with a total score of 300. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes.
There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer in the AFCAT 2024 exam. Candidates who wish to apply for the technical branch have to appear for the additional exam in the EKT round.
EKT is separated into three categories: mechanical, computer science, and electrical and electronic. The exam is made up of 50 multiple-choice questions with a total score of 150. All questions are objective-type, regardless of the job preference.

AFCAT 2024 Selection Process: AFSB Interview
Those candidates who clear the AFCAT written test will be called for the AFSB Interview 2024. Applicants who apply for the NCC Special Entry and Meteorology Branch will receive a direct AFSB round call. The AFSB interview comprises two stages:

AFSB 2024 STAGE I
- The first round is a screening test, which is conducted to check the mental fitness of the candidates. On the initial day of the AFSB round, candidates will have to undergo the officer intelligence rating test along with picture perception and discussion tests.
- Once candidates clear Stage 1, which is the screening test, they will be required to undergo a document verification process to confirm their eligibility for the positions.
- Those candidates who fail to meet the eligibility criteria or do not qualify will be sent back on the first day.
AFSB 2024 STAGE II
Those candidates who clear the AFCAT screening round will appear for the next round, which consists of the psychological test conducted on the first day in the evening, followed by group tests and personality tests for the following five days after the document verification.

The Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) Test is compulsory and will only be administered to the Flying Branch. Candidates who were unsuccessful in their previous attempt at CPSS/PABT or a Flight Cadet who has been suspended from flying training at the Air Force Academy are ineligible to apply.
AFCAT 2024 Documents Required
For the AFSB 2024, candidates have to carry the original as well as photocopies of the listed documents for verification purposes.

AFCAT 2024 Selection Process: Medical Examination
Following the AFSB 2024 round, successful candidates will appear for a detailed medical examination. While the selection process is underway, candidates must be both mentally and physically fit.
Those candidates who will clear the AFSB round will have to report to the Central Medical Establishment (AFCME), New Delhi, or the Institute of Aviation Medicine, Bengaluru, for their detailed medical test.

AFCAT Final Selection 2024
The AFCAT final selection will be based on the AFCAT 2024 merit list, which will be published on the official AFCAT website at afcat.cdac.in. The AFCAT merit list will be prepared based on the following:
