RBI Grade B 2023 Exam Pattern: The official notification of RBI Grade B 2023 Recruitment as well as the admit card for the tier 1 exam has been issued by the Reserve Bank of India for the recruitment of Grade B officers in DSIM, DR, and DEPR on its official website, for 291 vacancies.

RBI Grade B 2023 Exam Patter – Phase I

The Phase I exam is conducted as a screening round. The marks obtained in this round are not considered in the final selection process. The exam consists of only objective-type questions. For four sections totalling 200 marks, candidates will have 120 minutes to complete the exam.

RBI Grade B 2023 Exam Patter – Phase I
  • There are altogether 4 sections in the exam – general awareness, English language, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning ability.
  • Phase I exam is bilingual in nature. Candidates may take the exam in Hindi or English, except for the English language component.
  • For each correct answer, candidates get one mark; for each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted.
  • The exam is conducted in multiple shifts based on the number of participating aspirants.

RBI Grade B 2023 Exam Pattern – Phase II

Those candidates who meet the required cutoff set by RBI for the phase I exam will appear for the phase II exam. The exam consists of three papers, each with 100 marks. For a better understanding of the syllabus, candidates must check the RBI Grade B 2023 Exam Syllabus.

RBI Grade B 2023 DR( General) Phase II Exam Pattern
  • Three papers—economic and social sciences, English, and finance and management—will be covered in the Phase II Exam.
  • The exam consists of a total of three papers with both objective and descriptive questions.
  • Candidates will get 90 minutes for the descriptive portion and 30 minutes to complete the objective portion.
  • The exam is Bilingual ( Hindi and English) with nature with a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
  • Those candidates who will meet the required cut-off will appear for the final round which is the interview

RBI Grade B DEPR 2023 Exam Pattern

The RBI will separately release the exam pattern for the RBI Grade B DERP post. The selection is based on an online/written exam followed by an interview. The exam consists of three papers. Paper-I (Economics Objective), Paper-II (Economics-Descriptive ) and Paper-III (English-Descriptive)

RBI Grade B DEPR 2023 Exam Pattern
  • Only those candidates who meet the required cutoff for Paper I will appear for Paper II and Paper III.
  • Papers I and III are conducted online via CBT. Candidates for paper II will get the question on a computer, and they must respond to it on paper.
  • Paper I and Paper II can be given in either Hindi or English, depending on the preference of the candidate.

RBI Grade B DSIM 2023 Exam Pattern

The selection for the RBI Grade B DSIM post is based on an online/written exam followed by an interview. Three papers make up the test. Paper-I (objective statistics), Paper-II (descriptive statistics), and Paper-III (descriptive English)

RBI Grade B DSIM 2023 Exam Pattern
  • Only those applicants who meet the necessary cutoff for Paper I will appear for Paper II and Paper III, similar to the other post.
  • Those candidates who will clear Paper II and Paper 3 will appear for the interview round. The interview consists of 75 marks.
  • The examination is given in both Hindi and English. 

RBI Grade B 2023 Interview

Candidates who pass the Phase I and Phase II rounds will participate in the interview round. The interview consists of 75 marks. Before appearing for the interview, candidates must pass a psychometric test.

The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined score of Phase II and the interview round. The roll number of the candidates who will be chosen for the post of RBI Grade B officer will be posted on the RBI website.

RBI Grade B 2023 Exam Pattern FAQs

Q-Does the RBI Grade B exam have any negative markings?

Ans- Yes, there will be a negative marking of 1/4 marks for each incorrect answer.

Q-What is the RBI Grade B marking scheme?

Ans- The phase I exam consists of 200 marks, and phase II consists of 300 marks for general posts. While for DEPR and DISM posts, the Phase I exam is worth 100 marks, the Phase 2 exam is worth 200 marks.,

Q-What is the duration for the Phase I and Phase II exam of RBI Grade B 2023?

Ans-For the Phase I exam candidates will get 120 minutes while for the Phase II exam 30 minutes for the objective section and 90 minutes for the descriptive section.
