The SSC JE 2023 Selection Process consists of two phases of written examination (Paper 1 and Paper 2), followed by document verification

- Indian citizens or citizens of Nepal or Bhutan Or
- Tibetan refugees who moved permanently to India before January 1, 1962
- People from countries in East Africa including the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, or Ethiopia as well as Pakistan, Burma (Myanmar), Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.
- All candidates except Indian Nationals must hold the eligibility certificate authorized by GoI.
