Bala Box Office Collection Day 2: It’s a huge jump, Ayushmann in superb form

Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Bala’ opened in over 3300 screens throughout the country and 550 screens across the globe. The film has become Ayushmann’s biggest opener till date, even beating down his last month release ‘Dream Girl’ which was very well-received at the Box Office.

The film starring Bhumi Pednekar, Yami Gautam and ‘Vicky Donor’ star Ayushmann Khurrana went on to mint as high as 10.15 crore on its opening day. The reports at the end of 8 November, the release date suggest a rock-solid start for the film which is likely to take a good opening weekend at the Box Office. Considering that there are no other big releases around the same time, the figures are only expected to get bigger and better each passing day.

The Amar Kaushik film started with a good 25-30% occupancy on the first day that suggests an upward rising trend for the future. Besides word of mouth, brand ‘Ayushmann Khurrana’ and the interesting plotline make it an interesting offering for the 21st-century audience. First Day (10.15 Crore on Friday and then 15.73 Crore on Saturday) means weekend will around 50 Crore, it’s already hit.

Besides, the film also released a week ahead of it’s scheduled release date of 15 November 2019 due to controversy with ‘Ujda Chaman’, yet another film based on a similar plotline. ‘Bala’ has emerged as a winner despite the controversies surrounding the film.

The makers of ‘Ujda Chaman’ accused ‘Bala’ for blatantly copying their songs, plotline and even using make-up to make a leading actor’s skin appear darker. Despite all the backlash, ‘Bala’ has emerged out as a super hit in the making.

The second day morning shows in multiplexes show 40% occupancy which quite a jump from the Friday occupancy rates. We are expecting a good Box Office collection or 10-12 crores more on Saturday. The film is expected to register a minimum of 40 crores by the end of the weekend.
