Gully Boy Day 2 Box Office Collection: After a huge opening day with the collection of 18.7 crores, Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy witnessed a big drop in collections on Friday.

As expected Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy witnessed a big drop in collections on its second day, the movie saw a drop of around 33% on Saturday.

This kind of drop was always expected as the first day was boosted by Valentines Day. Gully Boy 2nd day box office collection is 1310 crores. The total collection of the movie after two days stands at around 32.50 crores.

Day 1 Box Office Collection Gully Boy: 18.7 crores

Day 2 Box Office Collection Gully Boy: 13.10 crores

Gully Boy Total two days collection: 32.50 crores

Like the first day, Mumbai city was the best performing circuit on day 2. In Mumbai and Bangalore, the movie saw a drop of around 25%. In other circuits, the drop was close to 45%.

Gully Boy will be back on track today as the WOM is extremely positive and the critics’ reviews are in favor of the movie. The content is youth-oriented and the movie is expected to earn at least 20 crores on Saturday and Sunday. It means that the extended first-weekend collection would be around 75 crores.

Gully Boy: Hit or Flop?

Despite being a youth-oriented niche movie, Gully Boy had a very good release. In India, it is released on 3350 screens. This is a very good number for a niche youth-oriented movie. In the overseas market, it is released on 751 screens.

Talking about the budget, Gully Boy is a medium budget movie with an estimated budget of around 75 crores (including promotion, making and advertising costs). It should 90 crore mark to be called a hit at the box office.

Well, 100 crore is definitely on the cards by the end of the first week. Third consecutive big hit for Ranveer after Padmaavat and Simmba.
