Kargil Vijay Diwas 2019: Special screening of Uri: The Surgical Strike is houseful across Maharashtra

On the special occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Uri: The Surgical Strike has been re-released across 500 theatres of Maharashtra.

On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the biggest blockbuster of the year, Uri: The Surgical Strike has been re-released in theatres.

The decision is taken by the Maharashtra government to ignite the feeling of patriotism among the youth. The film is being screened free across 500 theatres of Maharashtra only for today at 10 am slot.

The film is getting a tremendous response just like it got upon its release in January. It is running houseful in almost every theatre it is being screened at.

Ex-Servicemen Welfare Minister Sambhaji Patil- Nilangekar had a meeting with film distributors and theatre owners regarding the free screening of the film. All the parties involved have agreed upon the proposal.

The lead actor of the film, Vicky Kaushal took to Instagram, thanked and appreciated the Maharasthra government for this move.

Vicky wrote, “Happy and honoured to share that our Film #UriTheSurgicalStrikewill be re-released only for today, July 26th, to commemorate ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’. It will be screened for free in 500 theatres across Maharashtra. Extremely thankful to the Maharashtra State Government for their support and encouragement to this initiative by @rsvpmovies. Jai Hind.”

Directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by RSVP films, Uri: The Surgical Strike was a huge hit at the box office. Made in a budget of around 40 crores, the film earned 245+ crores in India.
