Kick 2: Sajid Nadiadwala To Direct Salman Khan starrer Kick 2

There have been some rumours about who would direct Kick 2. However, it’s now confirmed that Sajid Nadiadwala will be back as director.

Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Kick (2014) was a huge hit at the box office. It marked the directional debut of Sajid Nadiadwala. The film collected 233 crores at the domestic box office and since then there have been reports of Kick 2 being worked out. Last year, Sajid Nadiadwala announced Kick 2 and the film was expected to release on Christmas 2019.

However, the much-awaited project has been delayed due to Salman’s prior commitments. Recently, there have been rumours that Rohit Shetty could be directing ‘Kick 2’. However, these rumours have now been sidelined by the makers. The makers have confirmed that Sajid Nadiadwala will be directing the sequel of Kick.

Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment tweeted, “Clearing the air, we strongly deny any reports of association of any other name as the director of Kick 2. The next of the franchise, Kick 2 is with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment & will be directed by Sajid Nadiadwala.”

There are no updates about the star cast of the film except that Salman will be the leading man. The movie is expected to go on floors by the end this year. Sajid Nadiadwala is looking to release the film next year Diwali.

On the work front, Salman Khan is currently busy shooting for Dabangg 3 which is scheduled to release on Christmas 2019. After competing Dabangg 3, Salman will start working on for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshaallah. For the first time, he will share screen with young Alia Bhatt.
