Asiding all rumours of a change in release date, the makers of Mission Mangal has confirmed that their film will release on 15 Aug 2019.
A few days ago reports cropped up that the makers of Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal have preponed the release date of their film to avoid the clash with Prabhas’ much-awaited Saaho. Well, all these reports turned baseless rumours as the makers of ‘Mission Mangal’ have announced that they will stick to their scheduled 15 August release.
This means that the film starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan will clash with the Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor starrer spy-action thriller Saaho.
Touted as India’s first space film based on Mars Mission, ‘Mission Mangal’ is helmed by Jagan Shakti. It also stars Kriti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman Joshi and Nithya Menon. If some reports are to be believed, Akshay Kumar has a 25-minute extended cameo in the film.
Meanwhile, the teaser of Prabhas’ high octane action thriller Saaho was released yesterday. A 1 minute 38 seconds teaser has received unanimous positive response on social media. From celebrities to fans, everyone looks awe-struck by the action-filled teaser.
Saaho is one of the most-anticipated movies of the year while Mission Mangal hasn’t been able to make much noise. It would be interesting to see, how this clash unfolds at the box office. Akshay Kumar’s film has no chance owing to the incredible buzz that Saaho has created before release.
Meanwhile, there is no news on when John Abraham’s Batla House will release. The film is scheduled for release on 15 August. However, it seems that Bhushan Kumar will change its release date as he is also producing Saaho.
