Chennai: Anna University has been released the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) counselling schedule. Through TNEA 2019, candidates can get admission in the engineering undergraduate courses after qualifying the 12th exam.
For the last few years, there has been no examination for the entrance. However, the counselling will be conducted by Anna University, which will entitle candidates to secure admission in various reputed engineering institutes in Tamil Nadu.

TNEA 2019 Counselling
The counselling starts from July 3, 2019. Seats will be allotted to applicants based on their merit list and other communal factors.
During the counselling process, the candidates have to select college and branches according to their preference. The candidate requires to submit counselling fees through cash or DD and also need to produce their original documents at the time of counselling.
The university will notify all information regarding date, time, and venue for counselling through their website. Candidates must download their call letters to take part in the counselling process.
Cut-off marks for TNEA 2019
The cut-off marks have set by Anna University to offer admission to the candidates in the university and its affiliated institutions. The cut-off marks are the minimum marks that the candidates need to secure for getting access into a college or institute. The cut-off marks is a criterion which involves various parameters such as:
- Number of candidates registered for the exam
- Availability of seats in the participating institutions
- Other measures

Rank list for TNEA 2019
The counselling will be conducted based on a consolidated merit list as prepared by the university. Candidates can check the merit list online at TNEA rank list 2019.
Anna University will prepare a consolidated merit list after receiving all the applications from the candidates. Based on marks as submitted by the candidates, unique random numbers will be allotted to the applicants, which will help them to particulate in the counselling process.
Admission Process for TNEA 2019
After successful completion of counselling, the admission process will commence. Candidates have to report to allotted institutions on the required date and time, as mentioned in their provisional admission letter.
Final admission of candidates to an institute will require the full payment of course fee and providing original documents along with photocopy for verification.
