Rishab Shetty starrer Kannada action thriller Kantara has created and broken several records at the box-office. The small-budget film has made the fans go crazy with its exceptional storyline and the performances of the cast.
The film Kantara was released theatrically on September 30, minted huge money at the box-office and shaken the entire Indian film industry with its phenomenal success, impressed celebrities, politicians to common people across the nation due to its story from roots and peoples’ faith in it.
Written and directed by Rishab Shetty, who is also the lead actor, Kantara turned out to be a huge commercial success and became the second highest grossing Kannada film of 2022 and the second highest grossing film of all time after KGF:Chapter 2.

Kantara Hindi TV Premiere
After the success of the Kannada version of the film, the demand for the dubbed versions of the film in other languages also increased. The Hindi audience, which has been showing its interest in South movies, was also demanding the film to be released in a Hindi dubbed version.
The Hindi version of the film was released on October 14, 2022. It was first released on over 800 screens in the Hindi belt, and after getting a phenomenal response here, it was released on 2500 screens. Also, the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam versions were released on October 15.
The post-theatrical OTT rights of the film were acquired by Amazon Prime Video, whereas the Kannada TV premiere rights were acquired by Star Suvarna. Now, after finishing its theatrical and digital runs, the film will have its world premiere on Sony Max. The official release date was locked for 12 March but shifted by a week now, Sony MAX shares new date and time, save ‘March 19 2023’, Sunday 8:00 PM.

The film is received an exceptional response in the Hindi belt. The Hindi version’s net collection was reported to be around Rs. 76 crore lifetime collection, on of the most profitable films post covid. Kantara 2 is also confirmed after this huge success.
