Mollywood superstar Mohanlal starrer Monster is an upcoming Malayalam thriller film which is directed by Vysakh, known for directing movies such as Pulimurugan, Madhura Raja, Night Drive, etc. It is written by Udaykrishna.
The shooting of the film started in November 2021 and lasted for 55 days, concluding in January 2022 in various parts of Kerala with the majority of the portion shot in Kochi. The film is currently under post-production.
Monster Star Cast
The film produced by Antony Perumbavoor fame under the banner of Aashirvaad Cinemas, stars lead actor Mohanlal as a turban-clad Sikh investigation officer, Lucky Singh. It is the first time in his career he is playing a Punjabi character.

The megastar has many projects in the pipeline for 2022-23 including Alone, Olavum Theeravum, Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama Treasure, Ram: Part 1 among many others. He released his Sikh Look character poster with the commencement of the film’s shooting, back in November 2021.
Telugu actress Lakshmi Manchu is the female lead and Monster is her Malayalam debut film. The actress took the training of Martial Art form “Kalaripayattu” for her role in the film.
The film also stars actress Honey Rose as Bhamini, Sudev Nair, Jess Sweejan, Johny Antony, Kottayam Ramesh, K.B. Ganesh Kumar, Jose Joel and Sadhika Venugopal in key roles.
Monster Release Date
The makers of the film haven’t made any announcement regarding its release date. Earlier, it was reported that the film is set to be released on September 30, which was just a rumour. Now, the latest media reports as well as some movie critics are stating October 21, 2022 as the theatre release date of the film.
Popular Movie critic Sreedhar Pillai shared the release date on Twitter. As per his post, the film is confirmed to have a release around Diwali this year, on October 21. Now, the confirmation from the makers is awaited.
