Actually, the actress has got hitched today in a private affair to director Vignesh Shivan after a seven year long love relationship, in presence of the family members and close friends.
Nayanthara is one of the most successful stars of Indian cinema, with a career spanning of almost 20 years, the actress has worked in more than 60 South Indian films. Soon she will be seen making her Bollywood debut in Atlee directorial Jawan, opposite Bollywood’s king Shah Rukh Khan.

Her performance in the film won the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress.
2- Puthiya Niyamam (2016)
Puthiya Niyamam is Malayalam crime thriller in which Nayanthara shared the screen space with megastar of Mollywood Mammootty. Directed and written by A.K. Sajan, the film received critical acclaim and Nayanthara won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress- Malayalam, for her excellent performance.
3- Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (2015)
Naamum Rowdy Dhaan is a Tamil action comedy film which was backed by Kollywood megastar Dhanush under his banner Wunderbar Films while Vignesh Shivan came onboard to direct the film. It is said the actress and Vignesh came closer during the shooting of the film. Nayanthara starred opposite “Makkal Selvan ”- Vijay Sethupathy in the film and also won the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress.
4- Raja Rani (2013)
In this romantic drama film, Raja Rani starred opposite Arya and Jai. The Atlee directorial won Nayanthara the Filmfare Award for Best Actress Tamil and its narrative conveyed the message that there is a beautiful life after every break-up by showcasing the life of two romantic couples. The film was backed by acclaimed filmmaker AR Murugadoss.
5- Sri Rama Rajyam (2011)
The Telugu Hindu mythological art film was backed by Yalamanchali Sai Babu under Sri Sai Baba Movie banner and was directed by Bapu. In the film Nayanthara played the role of Goddess Sita with superstars Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Nandamuri Balakrishna as Valmiki and Lord Rama, respectively. For her role in the film, Nayanthara received the Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Actress.
