A horrific news is coming from Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi where a differently abled girl named Sunita Khakha who was captive and subjected to mentally as well as physical abuse for many years, has been rescued by the police from BJP leader Seema Patra’s house.
Sunita belongs to the tribal community and was working as a maid in the house of the BJP leader. Police said that the girl somehow managed to send a text to a person named Vivek Sakshi about what she had been going through in Seema Patra’s house for a long period of time.

Irony is that the accused Bharatiya Janata Party leader Seema Patra is the member of the national working committee of the Party’s Mahila Morcha and the Jharkhand convenor of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” campaign. Her Husband Maheshwari Patra is a retired Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer. They are the residents of the upscale Ashok Nagar locality of Ranchi.
About Sunita Khakha
Hailing from the tribal community, Sunita is the native of village Gumla of Ranchi and about 8 years ago, she was brought to work as a maid in the house of Seema Patra and IAS Maheshwari Patra. Later she was sent to work in the house of the couple’s daughter, Vatsala Patra.
However, she was brought back to Ranchi after a short period of time, at Seema Patra’s house, where she was always harassed and tortured while working. Whenever she asked for permission to go home, she was beaten by her owner and locked in the room.
Victim Seema’s Video Going Viral
A video of the poor 29-year old victim of physical and mental torture, is going viral where she can be heard telling the pain she went through in Patra’s House. One can clearly see her condition as she was not able to speak properly.
She didn’t even see the Sun in these 8 years of brutality and when she was rescued, she was not even able to walk properly due to being locked. She suffered dozens of injuries on her body as she was burnt with a hot pan by her owner.
Her teeth were brother with an iron rod and were not even provided proper food and water. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at RIMS, Ranchi.
A video of her lying on the hospital bed and telling her story, has gone viral on social media. People are shocked to see this kind of brutality in 2022 and in the capital of a state.
