SSC Stenographer Selection Process 2024: CBT
The computer-based online test (CBT) is the first stage of the SSC Stenographer Selection Process. It has three parts, i.e., A, B, and C. The SSC Stenographer syllabus consists of general intelligence and reasoning, general awareness, and the English language.
SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern for Stage 1: CBT Parts “A” and “B” will have 50 questions each, whereas Part “C” will have 100 questions. The time it takes to solve these 200 questions is 2 hours. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

SSC Stenographer Selection Process 2024: Skill Test
The candidates who qualify for the online examination will then appear in the Skill Test for Stenography. They will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi at the speed of 100 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade “C”.
For Stenographer Grade “D” post the speed is 80 words per minute. The matter will have to be transcribed on the computer. The transcription timing is given below –

The candidates who clear both the online exam and the SSC Stenography skill test will eventually appear for the document verification round.
