There has been an impressive rise in the connection of LPG cylinder with Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna. With this scheme, Narendra Modi aims to provide the connection of cooking gas to all the families that are living below the poverty line.
Positioned as the most successful welfare measure for women Modi is aiming to take the flagship of Ujjwala to almost eighty million households in the first hundred days of the government.
Ever since the launch of this scheme on May 1, 2016, the number of LPG connection has relatively gone up, and even low-income families are able to use LPG cooking gas.
This is one of the highly advertised schemes of Modi, and it has been claimed that since it’s launch, almost six crore families have got access to cooking gas.
Additionally, the government is aiming to allocate another ten to 20 million new LPG connections in the coming months to make every household have access to this basic utility.
With household air pollution from traditional cooking fuels like coal and wood, many women faced health hazards. This scheme was therefore launched to provide clean cooking fuel to all the household in the country.
Apart from this, there are almost one sixty-seven transformative ideas which the Modi government is planning to implement for the better development of the country. If these ideas implement successfully, then it will bring a wind of change in the life of the citizens and poor families.
