Rajinikanth wants peace in country, ready to play any role for this

Rajnikanth said that he agreed with Muslim leaders’ comment that a country’s prime objective should be love, unity and peace. Rajnikanth met with the representatives of the Tamil Nadu Jama’athul Uama Sabai outfit his Poes Garden residence on Sunday.

South-star Rajnikanth has been an active propagator of peace in the country. He is often seen condemning the CAA, NRC and NPR laws by the government. This time the Tamil film superstar met the representatives of the Tamil Nadu Jamatul Ulama Sabai called on actor Rajinikanth at his Poes Garden residence in Chennai. They paid him a visit to explain the true face of the impact of CAA, NRC and NPR on the Muslim community.

In a statement, Tamil Nadu Jama’athul Ulama Sabai president P A Khaja Mohinudeen Baqavi said,’Soon after he spoke to the media last time, we felt that he is not fully aware of the impact the CAA, the NRC and the NPR will have on Muslims and why so many people, including women, graduates and elders are holding protests against CAA across the country.

We thought he should understand the issues behind the move from all angles and sent a word to him that we were willing to come in person and explain it if needed. Rajinikanth, who was in Hyderabad then, sent a word inviting us to meet him on Sunday, after he returned to the city.’

Talking about the 1-hour 15-minutes long meeting, the members of the group said that Rajnikanth received them in a dignified manner and also listened to their problems very patiently. They said that the ‘Robot 2.0’ actor offered to extend any kind of support in his might to restore peace in the country. The ulama delegation members gave him a compilation of all the quotes of political leaders, educationists and speeches of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the CAA, NRC and NPR matter. This was done to make sure the film star had all the necessary information to understand the problems that the law has caused to the Muslims living in India.

Earlier too, Rajnikanth had condemned the Central Government stating that the violence in North-East Delhi should have been dealt with ‘iron fist’. He went to say that the ones in power should ‘resign and go’ if they cannot control the violence. This comes after Rajnikanth made an official statement that he was ready to lead a protest even a single Muslim was affected by CAA.
