PM Modi is on an eventful drive to bring people from different communities such as Patels, Yadavs, Brahmins and other backward communities to BJP’s side.
PM Modi is in Varanasi today to kick off a membership drive. This membership drive will run in Varanasi on July 6 where a helpline number 898080800 will be activated to obtain membership. PM Modi will launch this membership drive to connect people with the BJP family.
This is Prime Minister Modi’s second visit to the divine land of Varanasi. Earlier he had arrived here when his party won spectacularly in the national election that was held in the month of April and May.
This drive is aiming to increase the party’s membership by a spectacular figure of 20 per cent. The drive will also mark the anniversary of Syama Prasad Mukherjee who was the founder of BJP.

On Twitter, PM Modi said this Friday that on the Jayanti of Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee’s anniversary @BJP membership drive would start.
At around 11:30 this morning, I will address the programme in Varanasi marking the launch of @BJP4India’s Membership Drive.
During my speech, I will elaborate on my thoughts on the Budget and India’s growth trajectory in the coming years.

He further said that he would join the programme in Kashi to commemorate the same. This drive is aiming to connect people from all segments of the community with the BJP family. This will strengthen the BJP party.
Yogi Adityanath who is the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, will receive PM Modi at Varanasi airport along with the working president of BJP JP Nadda and Mahendra Nath Pandey who is the Union Minister of the party.
He came at around 10 am following which he will inaugurate former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri statue at the airport of the famous temple town in Uttar Pradesh. This will further be marked b a tree plantation campaign.
More than five thousand party workers will join the launch membership drive at Deendayal Upadhyaya Trade Facilitation Centr in Bada Lalpur.

The vice president of the party Shivraj Sigh Chouhan said that in order to become a member you just need to give a miss call on the mobile number, or you can also fill a form online. This drive will mark it’s ends on August 11 when many senior party members will arrive.
