Man shot at from point blank range in West Bengal's Jhargram

A person was critically injured after he was shot at from point-blank range in West Bengal’s Jhargram district, police said on Sunday.

Another sensational incident happened in West Bengal’s Jhargram district where a BJP worker was shot at from point blank range. The police are investigating the entire incident and have detained a villager who is being associated with the fury of the entire incident.

This deadly remorse happened in Bagua village that comes under the jurisdiction of Jamboni Police station this Saturday night. A BJP supporter got critically injured after he was shot from a point-blank range in Jhangram district. The BJP blamed the TMC for the incident, a charge denied by the ruling party.

How was the entire incident plotted?

Two people were following Khagapati Mahato, who is a BJP worker while he was returning after a kirtan on his two-wheeler. One of them pointed a gun at him and shot him at the spot from point blank range.

The miscreants flew away from the spot immediately while the victim was lying there in blood. He was then taken to Jhargram hospital. After a few hours when his condition became critical, he was shifted to Midnapore hospital. Later he was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata, and his condition is still critical.

The BJP president of Jhargram district alleged that TMC supporters did the entire plotting of the incident, but the core district committee member Prasun Sarangi has denied the allegations. He has given a new twist to the incident by alleging that the entire incident was the result of a personal problem between the victim and the alleged party.

The police are still investigating the entire scene and the real reason for this incident. We hope this is not another rife between two political parties who’re trying to deter the position of each other.
