Rahul Gandhi seeks an exemption in Amit Shah “Murder Accused” defamation case

Rahul Gandhi has been doing the rounds of the court, and today his lawyer seeks an exemption in Amit Shah “Murder Accused” defamation case.

After a suit was filed against Rahul Gandhi for making a defamatory statement against party BJP president Amit Shah in a polar rally calling him a murder accused, he has been doing the rounds of the court.

Last week he appeared in the Mumbai court and before that in Bihar court for the proceedings of the case that was filed against him by an RSS worker over his brutal comment that allegedly linked journalist Gauri Lankesh’s killing with BJP RSS ideology.

Though he has got relief in that case, this new hearing seems to give a tough time to him. Amit Shah had been cleared from the allegations in 2015 by CBI court. And so it was considered defamatory to make such a comment when the court had stated Ami Shah to be innocent in the case.

According to recent reports, Rahul Gandhi has skipped the hearing in the court in Ahmedabad today and has left the responsibility to his lawyer to seek an exemption in the defamation case that was filed against him by a BJP member for making a derogatory statement against Amit Shah.

This entire incident got fire when Rahul Gandhi attacked Amit Shah on April 23 for citing an old case of the murder of a gangster Sohrabuddin Sheikh for which Amit Shah was discharged by the court five years ago. The accusation of Rahul Gandhi didn’t stop here. He even accused Jay Shah, son of Amit Shah for corruption.
