Failed to deliver as a team when it mattered: Rohit Sharma tweeted with a heavy heart

Two days after India lost the WC semi-final to New Zealand, the star performer of Indian cricket team Rohit Sharma acknowledged the defeat and said that the team failed to deliver when it mattered.

India is out of the ICC World Cup 2019 race after a defeat against New Zealand in the semi-final. From the celebrities to the fans everybody has tweeted and shared their disappointment and agony over this defeat.

The defeat against NZ was a big shocker for the fans as Team India was one of the favourites to lift the World Cup trophy this year.

Two days after India lost to NZ, India vice-captain and top run scorer Rohit Sharma posted a heartfelt message on social media.

The star batsman has passed a disheartening statement saying that his heart is heavy after the disappointing defeat against the Black Caps. He even said that the team failed to deliver when it mattered the most.

India entered the World Cup as the second-ranked side and was also one of the four favourites to win the trophy. But they failed to chase the target of 240 runs.

The opener of Indian cricket team Rohit Sharma who has hit a record-setting number of five centuries got dismissed just at one run. The spirited effort of Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja couldn’t save team India from the defeat against the Black Caps.

The disappointment of the defeat could be easily seen on the faces of the Indian players. Ravi Shastri consolidated the team and said that this defeat shouldn’t affect the enthusiasm of the players.

He said that the players should be proud of their achievement over the last two years and this game of thirty minutes can’t erase their achievements.

The team should definitely come out of this disappointment and buckle up for the upcoming matches. After all, every day is not a victory day sometimes we need to accept failures too in order to prepare ourselves for a better future.
